This week kicks of National EMS Appreciation Week. Many times in the rush and stress of a call, the on scene paramedics and EMT's go un-thanked. This week was created to take a moment to recognize them and have an opportunity to say thank you. Fire Departments and EMS systems though out the nation are staffed with trained Paramedics & EMT's to respond at a moments notice. Many times these men and women miss meals, family events, work on holidays, work on zero sleep, spend all day and night in an ambulance and get puked on. They don't do this job for the glory or to get rich, they do this job because they love it and are here to help you and save live in an emergency.
If you see a Paramedic or EMT out this week, why not say a simple "Thank you".
