Without the past we have no future. Several years ago 28 brave members of Our Local, decided that enough was enough. With threats of privatization and unfair working conditions, the 28 members decided that we needed the help of the International Association of Firefighters and the Florida Professional Firefighters. On Brother Croughwell's back porch, our voices grew from 28 to the thousands of members of the I.A.F.F.. Since becoming a part of the best Brotherhood in the world, we have grown to be not only a strong Local, but a strong Fire Department with 158 current members. This Local started with 100% membership, and we are proud to say that we remain committed, strong and a 100% Union House!
