New LCFR Station 59 to Open

Jul 17, 2010 (10:11:00)

Administration for Lake County Public Safety has announced that Station 59 (Pennbrooke) will be opening on July 19th. This station will be staffed with a tanker from Station 52 with two overhires when available. If the overhires are not available, the station will be out of service and the tanker will remain at station 52. This staffing will help cut response times to the west side of the unincorporated Leesburg area and Pennbrooke due to Leesburg Fire cancelling the first response agreement that has been in place for the past few years. Due to severe budget restraints the city of Leesburg has been facing, the city has had to make cuts in staffing and expenses to offset over a $750,000 projected deficit.

For more details on the staffing of Station 59, please log in to your target safety to read the memo.

Welcome to the new website!

Jul 24, 2010 (12:00:00)

We would like to welcome all the Local 3990 members to your new website. The body started researching ways we could help improve communication to all our members, and we finally found something that our FPF was using that would work. This upgraded website format will allow all members to have their own secure log in. This means we have the ability to post information securely on our site and only MEMBERS can access this data, such as contracts, minutes, budgets, and whatever the members tell us they want to have access to. Future development of this site will also allow voting, apparel and merchandise ordering, political agenda updates, and more. We hope you all enjoy this new format and please send us your feedback of what you would like to see and have access to on your site.

We are currently still adding features and options. Please register so you can access our members only section. Please enter your information carefully, as your proper email address, cell number, and service provider will help us set up our contact feature. This feature will allow us to send out reminders via email and text messaging to all our members whenever we have meetings, events, etc. If all possible, please use your personal email address, and not your county email address, as all information sent to county emails are public record. From time to time, we may send out sensitive important messages that we want to keep to our union members only, and not the public.

We are also updating our list of members businesses. If you no longer have a business or would like to be removed from the list, or if you would like to be added to the list, please email your information to us at  admin@IAFFLocal3990.com
